Peace Music proudly presents, Rhymesayers Records heavyweight and Dilated Peoples front man, MC Evidence, in his first ever head line tour of Australia

Touring to support the release of his sophomore EP, Cats & Dogs, due out on Rhymesayers later this year, Evidence tears the roof off Tone (the venue) on Friday 15th October

On the turntables we have none other than the legendary, Total Eclipse, member of now legendary DMC DJ team and production crew, The Xecutioners. With releases on Stones Throw, Rawkus Records and Copsetik as well as multiple DmC world titles to his credit, Total Eclipse’ razor sharp skills on the 12’s and inspired production creativity have earned him a place in the anals of hip hop history.

One third of the influential L.A. hip-hop group Dilated Peoples, Evidence love for music was born at age 12 after he moved next door to QDIII (Quincy Jones's son), where he was able to see firsthand how beats were made and what it took to be a top-quality producer. Hooking up with MC Rakaa in 1992, the duo released a few singles as Dilated Peoples (their first beats courtesy of QDIII) before adding DJ Babu in 1998.

Evidence unleashed his debut solo record, ‘The Weatherman’ (a nickname a fan had given him early in his career), in 2007 after a long struggle with his then label Capitol Records and featured production from Evidence himself, Jake One, the Alchemist, and Babu, among others, and was followed by Red Tape Instrumentals, an album of beats, a few months later.

His identity as a solo artist reached maturity when he was signed to THE hip hop label of the moment, Rhymesayers Entertainment, mid last year.

The album features production and contribution from a range of Dilated Peoples friends and affiliates including Exile, Sid Roams, DJ Babu, and DJ Khalil.
